More information about The Springfield Hotel
The Springfield was originally a country manor house, built by the Duke of Lancaster around 1800. The original Monkey Puzzle tree, planted at the front of the property at the time it was built, dominates the skyline at over 100ft high, and frames the magnificent views the Duke would have enjoyed from his Mansion.
In the 1960’s the building was converted into a Hotel and Restaurant, with very large event facilities seating up to 300 people, and quickly became a much loved local venue, with regular shows and Bands from the 60’s and 70’s including some household names of the day.
The modern Springfield Hotel is a family run venue where the focus is always on superlative guest service and quality locally sourced food. The location of the Hotel is unrivalled, offering quick access to the beautiful Roman City of Chester (20 mins) and the Welsh resorts of Rhyl, Prestatyn, Llandudno along with Snowdonia National Park all within an hour’s drive.
